Who it's for

Built for how you run your business.

Underneath Solvo runs one calm, verified bookkeeping core — but your working day decides what you see of it. Four stories: the solo professional, the international freelancer, the growing business and the adviser looking on.

ZZP · The solo professional

You do your work. Solvo does the books behind it.

You're not a bookkeeper, and you don't have to be. You import your bank statement as a file (CAMT.053, MT940 or CSV — every Dutch bank can export one) and every line is recognised, categorised and prepared as a balancing entry. Receipts? You simply forward them by e-mail.

Thursday, 21:14. You e-mail the photo of the fuel receipt to your own Solvo address. Friday morning it's sitting there, prepared: VAT worked out, the entry balancing to the cent. Over coffee you tap Confirm — and that was your bookkeeping for the week.

And when the quarter ends, your VAT return is prepared box by box, ready for you to file, reconciled with your grootboek (general ledger). No evening of puzzling, no "could this be right?" — for every amount you can see why it's there.

Everything balances to the cent

What that actually saves you

  • Bank statement imported: every line is prepared — all you still do is confirm
  • Forward receipts and purchase invoices by e-mail; Solvo reads them and proposes the entry
  • Every proposal passes the checks first: the account exists, the VAT is right, the entry balances
  • VAT return prepared box by box, for you to file — KOR (small business scheme) included
  • Send professional invoices; payment reminders go out by themselves
  • One fixed monthly amount, cancel monthly

box by box, in plain words

Freelancer & expat · International

Dutch rules, in a language you understand.

Your first VAT quarter in the Netherlands is not a fun moment — "rubriek 1a", "voorbelasting", "verlegd". Solvo puts the Dutch VAT logic under a fully English interface: every box in plain words, every amount with a drill-down to the entries behind it. You don't have to learn tax jargon to know it's right.

Received an invoice marked "btw verlegd" (VAT reverse-charged)? Solvo applies the domestic reverse charge automatically, so the return simply keeps reconciling with your general ledger. And if you run into something that is not standard, Solvo doesn't guess — it puts the question to you, with a readable reason.

What Solvo deliberately doesn't do: give tax or legal advice. It shows you exactly what's in your return and why — for advice you have your own adviser.

Dutch books, English interface

  • Full interface in English — or Dutch, switch whenever you like
  • VAT return prepared box by box for you to file, explained without jargon, reconciled with the general ledger
  • Reverse-charged VAT (domestic) calculated automatically
  • KOR support if you fall under the Dutch small business scheme (kleineondernemersregeling)
  • Edge cases are put to you, never guessed
  • E-invoices (UBL/Peppol) for clients who ask for them
MKB · The growing business

The maturity of a big package, without the weight.

Growing means letting go without losing the overview. In Solvo you give your team roles and permissions, set a four-eyes threshold and per-role approval limits, and close months with a checklist — while the portfolio overview shows you all your administrations side by side, intercompany entries included.

The purchase invoice of € 14.200 is prepared, but doesn't post by itself: it sits above your threshold, so it politely waits for a second pair of eyes. Nobody has to chase it by e-mail — Solvo guards the agreement you made yourselves.

And because orders, inventory and invoices run on the same bookkeeping core, your management report isn't a loose spreadsheet but a clickable fact: from the monthly figure down to the individual entry.

start at the reviewing, not the gathering

Firms · The adviser

For the adviser looking on: everything is already prepared.

Do you review clients' books as a firm or independent adviser? Then Solvo gives you a role of your own with its own permissions: you see the same numbers as your client, in an administration that — thanks to the built-in checks — already balances before you open it.

Filing week. Instead of shoeboxes you open the portfolio overview: per client you see at a glance what's prepared and what still needs attention. The review bundle and the audit file (XAF) sit behind one button — you start at the reviewing, not at the gathering. And every entry shows who made it, when, and why.

Fair is fair: Solvo does the handiwork, you do the thinking. Solvo itself gives no tax or legal advice — that trade stays with people. Solvo makes sure your hours go to the things your clients call you for.
